Pollution In Delhi: CM Kejriwal Retaliates To Opponent Accusations Regarding Pollution

New Delhi, 3rd November 2022: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who came under the target of opponents for pollution in Delhi, has retaliated. Kejriwal has said that there should be no politics on pollution. Pollution is not only in Delhi and Punjab, the whole of North India is troubled by it. The BJP has targeted the government of Delhi and Punjab for the increased pollution level in Delhi due to stubble burning in Punjab.

In a tweet on Wednesday, the Minister attacked the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi and Punjab over pollution and said that there should be no politics on issues like pollution. At the same time, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has sought cooperation from the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in the ongoing fight against pollution. This can be controlled only with the cooperation of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and the Central Government.

Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav said, “It is clearly visible who is making Delhi a gas chamber. While the Haryana government has reduced the incidents of stubble burning by more than 30 per cent, there has been an increase of 19 per cent in the AAP-led Punjab.”

Due to the ever-increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR, the Air Quality Commission has given instructions to be strict. A two-day review meeting on the implementation of GRAP was held too. In this, where a meeting of Delhi officials, information was sought from the officials of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan about the implementation of GRAP.

In the meeting, the commission said that all the steps of GRAP should be strictly followed and strict action should be taken against the violators. Dr VK Soni, a member of the GRAP sub-committee said that the air quality of NCR will see a positive impact and improvement in the coming days. Effective and stringent steps have been taken.
