Arvind Kejriwal Announces AAP’s Solo Venture in Haryana Assembly Polls, INDIA Bloc for Lok Sabha

New Delhi, 29th January 2024: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal declared on Sunday that his party would independently contest all 90 assembly seats in Haryana while forming an alliance known as the INDIA bloc for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a ‘Badlaav Jansabha’ in Haryana’s Jind, Kejriwal underlined the trust people have placed in the AAP, citing successful governance experiences in Delhi and Punjab. He stated that Haryana was ripe for substantial change, asserting that the electorate is disenchanted with existing political parties.

Kejriwal’s announcement comes on the heels of the AAP’s decision not to form an alliance with the Congress in Punjab for the forthcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls, emphasizing the party’s commitment to contesting independently.

Expressing confidence, Kejriwal declared, “AAP will contest on all 90 seats, and we will form the next government in Haryana and make it the number 1 state in the country.” Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also attended the event, showing solidarity with the AAP’s decision.

Kejriwal took a critical stance against other political parties in Haryana, accusing them of prioritizing their financial interests over addressing the needs of the people. He highlighted the AAP’s successful track record in delivering round-the-clock power supply and other facilities in Delhi and Punjab, claiming that only his party could replicate such results.

The Delhi Chief Minister also directed his criticism towards the Union government, accusing BJP leaders of attempting to imprison him due to his government’s transformative efforts in education and healthcare. In a bold move, he challenged the BJP to implement his five promises, offering to quit politics if they could fulfil them.

Kejriwal further denounced the Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, for allegedly sending youth to Israel for jobs in a war-torn situation. He asserted that if Khattar couldn’t ensure jobs for the youth, he had no right to remain in the CM’s chair.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann echoed Kejriwal’s sentiments, criticizing the BJP-JJP government in Haryana and expressing confidence in the AAP’s potential to lead the state in the upcoming elections.
