Mumbai: Two Cases Pending Against Gauri Bhide Who Filed Petition Against Unaccounted Assets Of Former CM Thackeray

Mumbai, 26th December 2022: It has been revealed that two cases are pending in the court against Gauri Bhide and her father, who petitioned against former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in the unaccounted assets case. Gauri Bhide has filed a petition in the High Court regarding the alleged unaccounted assets of Uddhav Thackeray. Uddhav Thackeray, Rashmi Thackeray, Aditya and Tejas Thackeray have also been named respondents in the petition along with the Central Government, State Government, CBI, and ED. It was demanded to order an inquiry through ED and CBI in this matter. Earlier, Bhide had lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police Commissioner in this matter. Now documents have revealed that two cases are pending against Bhide and her father as well.

In the first case, a petition was filed by a bank against a private company, including Gauri Bhide and the director of the company. Also, a case has been pending against Gauri’s father, Abhay Bhide, since 2003. In this case, Jaisingh Rankhambe, then welfare inspector of Malad division, filed a complaint with Charkop police.

In this case, it is alleged that the provident fund amount of the employees of the printing house owned by Gauri Bhide’s father was not paid into the account. The case has been pending for the last 15 years. When Gauri Bhide was contacted about this, she said there is no criminal case against her. Gauri Bhide is a self-publisher. Her grandfather has a publication called ‘Rajamudra’. Gauri Bhide has accused Thackeray that it is impossible to collect such wealth from the sale of ‘Samana’ and ‘Marmik’. “We have the same business, then how come there is such a difference in the income of both?” Gauri raised such a question through a petition. A preliminary investigation is underway by the Financial Crimes Branch in this matter.

“There is no criminal case against me. I was a guarantor for the directors of a company. Hence, my name is in that case. The case against the father is currently in the Supreme Court. In all these cases, we will plead with evidence,” Bhide said.
