Pune: Sanjay Raut Blames Amit Shah for Kashmir Killings, Slams PM Modi for Insensitivity

Pune, 3rd May 2025: Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Pune today. Speaking to media, Raut held Amit Shah directly responsible for the recent killings in Kashmir and demanded his resignation.

Referring to the ongoing violence in the region, Raut said, “Defence Minister Rajnath Singh once said India would strike inside Pakistan, and Amit Shah spoke of hunting down enemies one by one. So why hasn’t it happened? Who stopped you? Amit Shah is responsible for all of this.” He further stated, “Amit Shah is accountable not only for the recent massacre in Kashmir that killed 27 people, including six from our state, but also for every killing in the last ten years.”

Raut questioned why Prime Minister Modi continues to retain Amit Shah in his post despite such incidents. “Our own people have been selectively targeted and killed,” he said, insisting that Shah should resign immediately.

He also criticized Modi’s response to national tragedies, saying, “Your Prime Minister spends 9 hours with film stars. When a celebrity dies, the country observes national mourning and cancels government events. But after the Pahalgam attack, Modi went on a campaign tour the next day and even attended a Bollywood event.” Raut remarked that there was no visible sign of grief on the faces of BJP leaders, including Modi, calling their indifference alarming.
