Pune: PMC Announces 75% Waiver on Penalty for Pending Property Tax; Amnesty Scheme from Nov 15 to Jan 15
Pune, 14th November 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a major relief measure for property owners by introducing an amnesty scheme that offers a 75% waiver on penalty and interest levied on outstanding property tax. The Standing Committee has approved the decision, and the scheme will be in effect from November 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
The scheme will cover all categories of properties, including residential, non-residential, and open plots. However, property owners who have already availed amnesty schemes implemented in 2015–16, 2016–17, 2020–21, and 2021–22 will not be eligible for this new waiver.
PMC has appealed to defaulters to clear their dues within the given period by paying the full tax amount, including principal arrears, in a single installment. Payments can be made at PMC’s Citizen Facilitation Centers, Bank of Maharashtra, ICICI Bank, Janata Sahakari Bank, Cosmos Bank, or through the official online portal.
To make the process more convenient, PMC has announced that its main office and all regional facilitation centers will remain open even on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays during the scheme period.
Online payments can be made at propertytax.punecorporation.org. Cheques should be issued in the name of “The Assessor & Collector of Taxes, PMC, Pune.”
Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishor Ram urged all property tax defaulters to take advantage of this limited-time opportunity and settle their pending dues promptly.
