Maharashtra: BJP Will Take Cost Of ‘Renunciation’ Of CM’s Post Through Ministries

Mumbai, 6th July 2022: According to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sources, even though the party has tried to show ‘sacrifice’ by making Eknath Shinde the Chief Minister, it would like an upper hand in the division of the ministries. It is discussed that Finance, Revenue, and Home Ministries will remain with the BJP.

Apart from this, the Ministry of Urban Development and the Ministry of Roads can go to the account of the Eknath Shinde faction. Shinde himself was handling the Urban Development Ministry in the Uddhav Thackeray government.

Before the formation of the government, there was a discussion that if the CM post goes to the BJP, then 13 ministerial posts can go to Eknath Shinde’s account. Out of these, it was being said that eight people would be made cabinet ministers, and five people would be given the post of minister of state. But now that Shinde has become the CM, then there may be some reduction in his quota of ministerial posts.
