Patil was asked about the ongoing strike of government employees for old pensions, which has now entered its sixth day, and he responded by saying that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has repeatedly expressed positivity about the pension. He also mentioned that a committee of senior retired chartered officers has been appointed to look into the matter.
Patil urged all employees to continue essential services as patients are suffering terribly due to the ongoing strike.
