For the past few months, BJP has been getting ready for 288 Vidhan Sabha and 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra state. It remains uncertain how many seats the Shiv Sena will get, but State Higher and Technical Education Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune district, Chandrakant Patil, said that they will find BJP’s preparation useful.
On Sunday, Patil inaugurated the Shankarrao Masulkar Urban Health Center and Eye Hospital of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the Waste Transfer Center at Bhosari Gawalimatha, and Kasarwadi. BJP city president MLA Mahesh Landge, MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Uma Khapare, state spokesperson Eknath Pawar, and others were present. The new building will house the eye department that is currently located in YCM hospital, and all eye-related diseases will be examined and treated here. The work will start from tomorrow, 20th March.

Patil was asked about the ongoing strike of government employees for old pensions, which has now entered its sixth day, and he responded by saying that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has repeatedly expressed positivity about the pension. He also mentioned that a committee of senior retired chartered officers has been appointed to look into the matter.

Patil urged all employees to continue essential services as patients are suffering terribly due to the ongoing strike. He said that any strike has two parts, and essential service personnel should wear black ribbons while protesting. However, he observed that essential service workers have also gone on strike. He assured that the government is not against the old pension scheme but that it will take time to study how much it can bear.
