Nashik, 24th January 2024: Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has issued a warning to Yogi Adityanath regarding the alleged “use and throw” policy of the BJP. Speaking at a rally in Nashik, Thackeray advised Yogi Adityanath to exercise caution, suggesting that the party’s high command might sideline him if the Lok Sabha poll results favor the BJP.

Drawing parallels with cases like Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Vasundhara Raje, the ex-Chief Minister of Rajasthan, and Raman Singh, the inaugural Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Thackeray highlighted instances where leaders were clearly sidelined after contributing to ground-level pre-election work.

Thackeray indicated that the BJP might capitalize on the recent Ram Idol Consecration ahead of the expected polls before Ram Navami. However, he expressed skepticism about the BJP’s willingness to conduct the polls with ballot papers, suggesting that such a move could pose challenges for the party.

This is not the first time UBT has attacked BJP on these lines. In 2023, Thackeray pointed out that the BJP’s loss in the Kasba Peth Assembly constituency in Pune was a clear-cut result of its “use and throw” policy.
