Would request Prime Minister for displaying photo-frame of Balasaheb Thackeray at new Parliament building: Chief minister Eknath Shinde

New Delhi, 25 July 2022: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed that he would request Prime Minister Narendra Modi for displaying a photo frame of HinduHridaySamrat Balasaheb Thackeray at the new building of Parliament being constructed under the Central Vista project.

 

Chief Minister Shinde informed to media during an interaction with media at Maharashtra Sadan after attending the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected President Draupadi Murmu. The chief minister informed that a delegation of MPs in the state have met him with a memorandum demanding displaying of such a photo frame of Balasaheb Thackeray at Central Vista and installing statue of Balasaheb Thackeray at Maharashtra Sadan.

 

Chief minister Shinde informed that he along with deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis would call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and present him with memorandum seeking displaying a photoframe of Balasaheb Thackeray at the new Parliament building being built at India Gate area. Chief Minister Shinde expressed confidence that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take a positive decision.

 

Chief minister informed that the delegation of MPS have demanded installation of statue of Balasaheb Thackeray at the premises of Maharashtra Sadan situated at Kasturba Gandhi Marg.

 

Residential arrangements at Maharashtra Sadan for students in state preparing for competitive examination

Chief Minister Shinde informed that he has directed officials to make arrangements for residential facility which can accommodate 100 to 150 students at Maharashtra Sadan situated at Copernicus Marg so that there is no inconvenience to students from the state preparing for UPSC examinations. He also informed that he has directed officials to prepare a plan so that arrangements for 500 to 600 such candidates can be made in coming days.
