Former CM Uddhav Thackeray Says “Don’t Post Pictures Of My Father And Don’t Ask For Votes In His Name”

Mumbai, 26th July 2022: In an interview with Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana, Uddhav Thackeray lashed out at Eknath Shinde. He said that loyalty is not something that can be sold. But that is what is being done. Uddhav Thackeray challenged Eknath Shinde that if he wants to do politics on his own then why is he using the name of Balasaheb Thackeray.

Uddhav Thackeray said, “Don’t post pictures of my father and don’t ask for votes in his name. Why is the BJP also taking the name of Balasaheb Thackeray. BJP wants to eliminate Shiv Sena itself. They want the Shiv Sainiks to fight amongst themselves and then confusion arises among them regarding the name of Balasaheb. I was not the Chief Minister who eats cream. I had not taken any major ministry. It was my fault that I considered some people as family and took them forward.”

Uddhav Thackeray said, “People were very happy with the work of Maha Vikas Aghadi. It was because of my work that I was included in the top 5 Chief Ministers of the country.”

During the interview, Uddhav Thackeray also became emotional while referring to his health.

He said, “When the game of changing power was going on when I was ill and could not even stand properly. Shiv Sena is like a tree, whose rotten leaves are falling now. In a few days, new leaves will appear again. Shiv Sainiks are with us.”

Alleging that BJP wants to end Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray said, “BJP will not want to partner with Hindutva. I worked only for Hindutva in my government. We built Maharashtra Bhavan in Ayodhya. We gave land for the Tirupati temple in Navi Mumbai. We restored and developed the ancient temples.”
