To Say A Project Bigger Than Foxconn Will Be Given Is Like Convincing A Child: Sharad Pawar On Eknath Shinde’s

Mumbai, 15th September 2022: The political situation intensifies in Maharashtra as Vedanta and Foxconn’s joint project to make semiconductors move to Gujarat instead of Maharashtra. Amidst this, Sharad Pawar’s statement has come to the fore.

Sharad Pawar has taken a jibe at the statement made by Eknath Shinde in this matter, in which he said that PM Narendra Modi has assured him of a bigger project. Sharad Pawar said that to say a project bigger than Foxconn will be given is like convincing a child. He said that big industrial projects have always been coming up in Maharashtra, but now they are being snatched away.

Sharad Pawar said about the conversation between Eknath Shinde and PM Narendra Modi, “There are two small children in the family. One is given a balloon and the other starts crying. On this, the parents ask you to give a bigger balloon than that. That’s what is happening.”

Speaking to the media in Pune, Sharad Pawar said, “The Foxconn project should have taken place in Talegaon, Pune. Talegaon was the right place for the project. But when the project in the state went to Gujarat, it is really unfortunate. There is no point in talking more. But I want to draw attention.”

Around 1.5 lakh people are being said to get employment from this project of Rs 1.54 lakh crore. The opposition is attacking the Eknath Shinde government regarding this project.

While clarifying the same, the Eknath Shinde government has blamed it on the earlier Uddhav government.

Uday Samant had said on Wednesday that Uddhav Thackeray did not deal properly with this matter and that is why the project went to Gujarat.
