ST Bus Accident: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Orders Proper Treatment of Injured, Handing Bodies Of Deceased To Families

Mumbai, 18th July 2022: An ST bus heading to Amalner from Indore this morning fell into the river Narmada from a river bridge between Khalghat and Tikri in Madhya Pradesh. There were 13 people on the bus including the driver. Reportedly, all have been pulled out from the river along with the bus and the process of the autopsy is currently underway.

 

 

 

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed deep grief over the accident that occurred in the Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh this morning (July 18). He also directed the Jalgaon District Collector to carry out the rescue work properly and to maintain proper coordination with the district administration in Madhya Pradesh for immediate treatment of the injured.

 

 

 

As soon as the news of the accident came to light, Shinde immediately spoke to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and requested the Khargone and Dhar district administrations in Madhya Pradesh to plan necessary assistance to the accident victims.

 

 

 

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also issued instructions to Chief Secretary Manukumar Srivastava and Managing Director of ST Corporation Shekhar Channe regarding this accident and has directed them to provide all necessary assistance to the rescued passengers immediately. The Chief Minister also gave instructions regarding taking out the bodies and handing them over to their relatives after due process.
