Maharashtra Government Aims For Record In Collective Singing Of National Anthem On August 17

Mumbai, 16th August 2022: Chief minister Eknath Shinde has appealed every citizen of Maharashtra to participate on August 17th in an initiative of collectively singing together National anthem between 11 am and 11.01 am

 

Swarajya Mahotsav or HomeRule Festival is being organized to mark the 75th anniversary of Independence under which collectively singing the National anthem has come forward as a novel concept. Chief minister Shinde has also asked citizens from the age group of children to the senior citizens to participate in this initiative to create a new record of sorts. He directed the administration to take necessary measures so that this initiative reaches every citizen.

 

Chief secretary Manukumar Srivastav has informed that directions have been issued to all concerned in this regard so that this initiative is implemented effectively in the state as per the directions of the chief minister Shinde. Stating that the state Government has issued a detailed Government Resolution (GR) regarding collectively singing the National anthem and administration is duty bound to celebrate this initiative with people’s participation.

 

Secretary to the department of cultural affairs Saurabh Vijay said that we are undertaking various initiatives so that our rich heritage is conserved along with patriotism. He said that citizens have respect for the Tri-colour and National anthem and this initiative was being organized to bring it before the entire world through collectively singing the National anthem. All the Anganwadis in the state along with all Universities, students from all the colleges and educational institutions, trade organizations, service providers, women, youth, senior citizens and all other citizens in the state are expected to participate in the initiative.

 

Saurabh Vijay made it clear that citizens are required to participate in this initiative wherever they are, by respecting the National anthem. Saurabh Vijay has asked all the citizens to respond to the appeal made by chief minister Shinde and with participation from all, state Government has made this appeal so that a new World record is created.
