Maha Vikas Aghadi Made An Attempt To Arrest Devendra Fadnavis, Girish Mahajan: CM Eknath Shinde
Mumbai, 27th February 2023: A few days ago, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, speaking to a news channel, alleged that there was an attempt to arrest him during the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government’s tenure. After that, various political discussions arose. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also made a claim, saying that talks of the arrest of Girish Mahajan and Devendra Fadnavis were going on, and he witnessed it. He was speaking at a press conference held on the eve of the budget session of the legislature. Speaking on this occasion, he also replied to the allegations of the opponents.
“We are accused of intimidating opponents. However, the Thackeray government arrested Ravi Rana and Navneet Rana. Kangana Ranaut’s house was demolished. Ketaki Chitale was arrested. Girish Mahajan was ready to be targeted. There were talks of arresting both Girish Mahajan and Devendra Fadnavis. I was there at that time. I am a witness to this statement,” claimed Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Speaking further, he also replied to the criticism of the opponents. “The opposition had criticized the Shinde government saying that if we had gone to the tea party, Maharashtra would have become treasonous. I want to tell them that it was Dawood’s sister Hasina Parkar who gave the cheque. Ajit Pawar did not accept his resignation even though his ministers committed treason. Well, we missed our time to drink tea with Ajit Pawar. Ajit Pawar is frustrated due to being out of power. We can understand their mentality. As a fish flounders without water, so has the opposition after being out of power.”
