Jitendra Awhad Granted Bail In Molestation Case

Thane, 15th November 2022: A molestation case was registered against Nationalist Congress leader Jitendra Awhad on Monday. After that, the court directed the Mumbra Police not to arrest Awhad until the pre-arrest bail application is heard by 11 am today (November 15). Now, the hearing on his bail application was held in court. After this, the court gave its decision. The court has granted bail to Awhad.

On behalf of Awad, the clips of all the cases that happened there have been presented in the court. Awhad’s lawyers had told the court that the case was filed against him for political reasons.

Meanwhile, Jitendra Awhad’s wife, Rita Awhad, had written a letter to the Mumbra police. In that letter, she had said that ‘complainant women can make allegations to get police protection. A false complaint can be made by receiving a threatening phone call from the complainant woman. For that, a threatening phone call can be made to the complainant woman in her name. For that, if any such complaint is received at the police station, it should be investigated and action should be taken.’

Meanwhile, after a case was registered against Awhad, he announced that he would resign from the MLA. However, after this NCP state president, Jayant Patil met Awad and requested he not resign. After that, Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar also held a press conference and said that Awhad should not resign.

NCP had become aggressive after the case was registered against Awhad. Jayant Patil and Ajit Pawar had kept the Shinde-Fadnavis government on edge. Rita Awhad also reacted to this resignation. She said that the decision to resign should be decided by the people. Jitendra Awad has been an MLA three times.
