Jharkhand: Govt Makes Biometric Attendance Compulsory For Students, Mobile Phones Banned From Classrooms

Ranchi, 4th January 2023: In Jharkhand, government school teachers will not be allowed to bring cell phones to class. In addition, without biometric attendance, teachers will not even be paid. The Jharkhand School Education and Literacy Department has made many such proposals. According to reports, Department Secretary Ravi Kumar also gave new directives to teachers at public schools.

The new regulations state that before entering the classroom, teachers must either see the school’s principal or place their cell phones in the assigned locker. The choice was taken as a result of numerous teachers in the state being caught using their phones instead of instructing the children.

The decision was taken during a meeting with the Block Education Promotion and Jharkhand education sector officers. The officials also talked about creating rules and the state of Jharkhand’s government schools.
