Bihar: Nitish Kumar Resigns From Post Of Chief Minister, Claims To Form New Government With Support From 160 MLAs

Patna, 9th August 2022: Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister after meeting the Governor a short while ago. He has broken alliance with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

 

Nitesh also claimed to form a new government with the support of 160 MLAs.

 

Coming out of Raj Bhavan, Nitish Kumar told the media that he has now come out of the NDA alliance. He said that all the MPs and MLAs of the party wanted the NDA alliance to be abandoned. This decision is of the party.

 

After leaving the Raj Bhavan, he reached house of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s house to meet him where he was given a grand welcome.

 

According to reports, the power-sharing in Nitish’s new government will be as follows – JDU has CM, RJD has Deputy CM and Home Ministry. Whereas the Congress party can get the post of Deputy CM and Speaker.
