Adampur By-Election: The Thrill Of AAP vs BJP vs Congress, Understand Why VIP Seat Is Important For All Three

Adampur, 13th October 2022: In the Adampur by-election, the candidates have entered the fray on a Congress ticket. On one hand, Bhavya had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar. At the same time, Satendra has contested the Adampur assembly elections in 2014.

The ground of Adampur is ready for the by-election. After the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party, now Congress also announced the candidate for the seat on Wednesday. This VIP seat in Haryana is special in many ways. This by-election will be important for all three parties because on one hand, for the BJP candidate, this battle will be to keep the legacy alive. At the same time, the battle of Congress will be to maintain control of the seat. After Punjab, this victory can prove to be a good start for those who are looking for new political ground.

Congress: Jai Prakash
Congress has fielded former Union Minister Jai Prakash. JP has been a three-time MP from Hisar. He is an MLA from the Barwala assembly seat and has also won the election of MLA from Kaithal’s Kalayat seat. It is reported that with the entry of JP in the electoral fray, the contest has become exciting because local voters believe that now the election will not be easy for any candidate. Even before this, he had presented a tough challenge to Kuldeep Bishnoi in 2005. When the results came, Bishnoi’s victory margin was reduced to 6015 only.

After Bishnoi changed party, Congress would like to retain control of this seat. At the same time, the party may be able to show through the victory that the wind of change is blowing. Apart from this, the party would also like to complete the Rajya Sabha elections by defeating Bishnoi and the political account of leaving the Congress.

Bharatiya Janata Party: Bhavya Bishnoi
BJP has expressed confidence in Kuldeep’s son Bhavya. Now this election will be a chance for Kuldeep himself to prove his electoral ability. Since 1968 this seat has been with the Bishnoi family. Before this, Bhajan Lal ruled here from 1968 to 2000. After this Bishnoi began handling it in 2005. In the 2012 by-election, his wife Renuka won.

However, BJP is expected to gain another advantage from this seat. If it wins the grand by-election, the BJP will be in a stronger position against its alliance partner Dushyant Chautala’s JJP in the state.

Aam Aadmi Party: Satendra Singh
AAP is trying to make a big entry in Haryana. AAP has already decided that in the elections to be held in the year 2024, it will field candidates on all 90 seats. This time in the by-election, the party has expressed confidence in Satendra Singh. Haryana is the home state of AAP’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In this sense too, the party would not like to leave any stone unturned in the preparations here. It is reported that the party has decided to field more than 2,000 volunteers. Apart from this, about 25 MLAs from Delhi and Punjab can also reach here for campaigning.

The three candidates who have fought on the Congress ticket, who have been fighting in the Adampur by-election, have never contested on the Congress ticket. Bhavya had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar. At the same time, Satendra has contested the Adampur assembly elections in 2014.
