Kolkata, 7th April 2024: As the countdown to the upcoming general elections continues, political campaigning is reaching its peak across the nation. On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a public meeting in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, followed by a vibrant roadshow in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee led a spirited roadshow in West Midnapore in support of party Lok Sabha candidate Deepak Adhikari. The Congress, which secured 44 and 52 seats in the 2014 and 2019 elections respectively, is striving to stage a resurgence in the upcoming polls.
