Mumbai, 12th October 2024: In a shocking turn of events, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique was shot dead on Saturday in Mumbai by three unidentified attackers. The incident occurred outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra East.

Reports suggest that the assailants fired multiple shots at Siddique, resulting in three bullet wounds. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Earlier this year, Siddique made headlines for leaving the Indian National Congress after nearly five decades. In February, he joined Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction, marking a significant political shift.

Baba Siddique had served as Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies, Labor, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Consumer Protection during the Congress-NCP government.

Authorities are now investigating the motive behind the attack, and a manhunt is underway for the assailants.
