Why Is Modi Afraid To Investigate Adani’s Corruption: Congress Spokesperson Pawan Khera Questions

Mumbai, 18th February 2023: All India Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera on Friday questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is afraid to probe the corruption of industrialist Gautam Adani through the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) despite the Hindenburg Report. He also alleged that Prime Minister Modi is trying to save Adani.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Mumbai Congress office, Khera said that the Hindenburg report exposed the black businesses of the Adani Udyog Group to the whole world. “Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge asked the Modi government about it in Parliament. Modi not only did not answer it but also removed the words Adani from the speeches of Rahul Gandhi and Kharge. Narendra Modi is afraid to even mention Adani’s name in this case,” he said.

“The money of 33 crore people of the country is invested in LIC and SBI. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not ready to talk about it. He works 18 hours a day to save his friend Adani. To preserve their friendship, they are draining the money of the people of the country and endangering the coming generation. We won’t let that happen,” he added. He demanded that the entire matter should be investigated through the JPC.

He further demanded that the corruption brought to light by the Hindenburg Report should be investigated, but at the same time, the passport of Gautam Adani and his family should be confiscated first so that they do not flee the country.
