Where Did The BSP-Congress Voters Go?

Uttar Pradesh, 6th November 2022: In the Gola Gokarannath assembly by-election in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of UP, the BJP has also slammed the SP. Earlier also, this seat was won by BJP. According to the results of the elections, after counting votes, victory or defeat is in its place, but if we talk about the last election, the votes of both parties have decreased. This is the situation when Congress and BSP did not field their candidates in this election. Both the parties had kept their distance in this election.

It was speculated that the vote percentage would also increase with the victory of BSP and Congress where their voters would go due to not contesting the elections, but it did not happen. The result of victory and defeat came in the election, but the figures of votes were reduced further than before. Now the question is arising where have the votes of BSP and Congress, which made the distance from the elections, gone? However, people say that this effect has been seen due to the low percentage of voting in the by-elections.

If the results of the elections are seen, then in the 2022 general election, BJP candidate Arvind Giri got one lakh 26 thousand votes. He was elected MLA by winning over 29 thousand votes from his rival SP candidate Vinay Tiwari. Vinay Tiwari got 97 thousand votes. If we talk about this by-election, then BJP candidate Aman Giri has got one lakh 24 thousand 810 votes. He defeated his rival SP candidate Vinay Tiwari by 34 thousand votes.

Vinay Tiwari got 90,512 votes in this election. If we look at the figures, then Aman Giri has won by 34 thousand votes, but if we talk about votes, then his father Arvind Giri got more in the general election. On the other hand, SP candidate Vinay Tiwari has got about seven thousand votes in this election as compared to the 2022 elections. In both elections, the number of candidates here has been only seven. Congress and BSP candidates were also in the fray in the 2022 elections, but in this by-election, Congress and BSP did not field their candidates. If seen, the direct contest remained between BJP and SP. Experts say that the voting percentage in the by-election was low. This has affected the votes of the candidates. However, there is enthusiasm for the BJP’s victory over the BJP’s victory.
