Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu To Be New Chief Minister Of Himachal Pradesh, Mukesh Agnihotri To Be Deputy CM

Himachal Pradesh, 10th December 2022: Congress leader Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will be the new Chief Minister (CM) of Himachal Pradesh, and Mukesh Agnihotri has received the responsibility of Deputy CM. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said that the swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow at 11 am. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge will attend the ceremony. In the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party, it was decided to make Sukhu the CM. Simultaneously, Bhupesh Baghel, state in-charge Rajeev Shukla, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Pratibha Singh and Chief Minister-designate Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu reached Raj Bhavan to meet the Governor.

On being made the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhu said, “I am thankful to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and the people of the state. It is my responsibility to fulfil the promises we have made to the people of Himachal Pradesh. We have to work for the development of the state. Mukesh Agnihotri, who has been elected as deputy CM, and I will work as a team. I started my political career at the age of 17. I will never be able to forget what the Congress party has done for me.”

Congress in charge of Himachal Pradesh Rajeev Shukla said that all the MLAs have unanimously elected Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu as the leader of the Legislature Party.
