Shivsena’s Dussehra Rally Will Be Held In Shivaji Park: Uddhav Thackeray’s Announcement Amid Speculation Of Permission

Mumbai, 29th August 2022: On one hand, some leaders of the Uddhav Thackeray faction are expressing apprehension about organizing the Dussehra rally in Shivaji Park. On the other hand, Uddhav himself announced on Monday that the annual Dussehra rally would be held at Shivaji Park.

It is noteworthy that some leaders of the Uddhav Thackeray faction had expressed doubts about the organization of the rally from the Mumbai civic body. For the last one decade, Shiv Sena has been organizing a Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park. During this event, Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray used to give his speeches vigorously.

Aaditya Thackeray had said, ‘’However, after the rebellion of Eknath Shinde, there has been a split in Shiv Sena. This is the first time since the separation in June that the Dussehra rally is going to be organized. This year Dussehra will be celebrated on 5th October. On Saturday, Uddhav Thackeray’s son and former minister Aaditya Thackeray said that the authorities are not accepting the application being given to organise the annual Dussehra rally of Shiv Sena. According to sources, on Monday, Uddhav Thackeray said that Shiv Sainiks from different parts have started preparing to come to Shivaji Park to attend the Dussehra rally. He said that this annual festival of Shiv Sena will be held at Shivtirth (Shivaji Park).
