Rajasthan Government Transfers IAS Officer Archana Singh Following Technical Glitch During PM’s Event
Jaipur, 27th September 2025: The Rajasthan government has transferred IAS officer Archana Singh from her position as Secretary of the Department of IT and Communication, placing her on the ‘awaiting posting order’ (APO) list late Thursday night.
Sources suggest the move may be linked to a technical issue that occurred during a presentation in Banswara attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in the day. The glitch disrupted a short film showcasing government projects in the region and affected the live video connection to several districts scheduled to participate in the event.
The Department of Personnel (DoP) issued the order under instructions from the Chief Minister’s office, citing “administrative reasons” for Singh’s placement on the APO list. DoP officials, however, stated they were not briefed on the exact factors that led to the decision.
Additional technical problems reportedly arose during Modi’s interaction with farmers, with sources attributing part of the disruption to the National Informatics Centre, which manages the telecast for such events.
