Pune: “Gali Gali Mai Shore Hai! Thackeray, Pawar Chor Hai”, BJP Workers Chanted Slogans

Pune, 26th September 2022: Politics in Maharashtra has heated up over the Vedanta-Foxconn project. There are rounds of criticism between the ruling party and the opposition. Two days ago, Shiv Sena MLA and Yuva Sena Chief Aditya Thackeray took part in the public outrage movement held in Vadgaon Maval.

Thackeray criticized the current Shinde government. A protest was held today (September 26) in response to that criticism on behalf of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

BJP has alleged that the Vedanta-Foxconn project was stalled during the Mahavikas Aghadi period and that no land was acquired for the project. This time, the BJP workers left the premises in a rush shouting slogans like “Gali Gali Mai Shore Hai! Thackeray, Pawar Chor Hai.”

Former Minister Sanjay alias Bala Bhegade said that the people of Maval and Maharashtra are being cheated for 2.5 years.

He said, “Since 2019, many agitations were made by the Maval BJP for Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to pay the compensation, but due to pressure, the compensation of the farmers was not given.”

He further said, “If Vedanta-Foxconn company were to come here, during this period from January 2021 to June 30, 2022, Vedanta-Foxconn company visited the place many times, inspected the place. But the administration did not give possession of the land because the land was not prepared for it. The farmers were not paid. There was no agreement between Vedanta- Foxconn and the government. So why is Aditya Thackeray cheating the people of Maval and Maharashtra?”

Former minister Bhegade has given an open appeal to Aditya Thackeray to show the copy if there is an agreement.
