President Draupadi Murmu To Go To Telangana For Winter Stay

Secunderabad, 26th December 2022: President Draupadi Murmu will visit Secunderabad in Telangana for her winter stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam from 26th to 30th December, an official statement said.

The President will also visit the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh on Monday and inaugurate projects related to the development of the temple under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) of the Union Ministry of Tourism, a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Sunday.

The President will visit Sri Shivaji Sphoorti Kendra in Srisailam before reaching Nilayam. On 27th December, the President will address students and faculty members of the Keshav Memorial Educational Society in Hyderabad.

On the same day, she will visit the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy and address the officer trainees of the Indian Police Service (74th RR batch) there, the statement said. Murmu will also inaugurate a wide plate mill of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) in Hyderabad.

On 28th December, the President will visit and lay the foundation stone for the development of tourism infrastructure at Bhadrachalam Temple under the Prashad scheme.

She will also inaugurate the ‘Sammakka Saralamma Tribe Priests Convention’ organized by Vanavasi Kalyan Parishad – Telangana, as well as Eklavya Model Residential Schools of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in Komaram Bheem Asifabad and Mahbubabad districts of Telangana.

On the same day, Murmu will visit Ramappa temple in Warangal district, where she will lay the foundation stone for tourism infrastructure at Ramappa temple and renovation of Kameshwaralaya temple.

The President will interact with students and faculty members of G Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science, BM Malani Nursing College and Suman Junior College of the Women’s Efficiency Committee in Hyderabad on 29th December, the statement said. On the same day, she will also visit the Statue of Equality at Sriramnagaram in Shamshabad. On 30th December, she will host ‘Veer Naris’ and other dignitaries at Rashtrapati Nilayam before returning to Delhi.
