PM Modi Will Flag Off The New Vande Bharat Express In Gujarat Today; Know the Special Features Of The Train

Gandhinagar, 30th September 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new Vande Bharat Express train on the second day of his Gujarat tour today. This will be the third semi high speed train in the country. The train will run between Gandhi Nagar to Mumbai Central. The train has been made under the ‘Make In India’ initiative.
On 15 February 2019, the Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off for the first time on New the Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route.
Speed, safety and service are the sepacial features of this new innovative semi high speed train. The train has been manufactured in just 18 months at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai.
The Vande Bharat Express can run up to a maximum speed of 160 kmph. It can accelerate to 100 km in a few seconds.
Vande Bharat Express will reduce travel time by 25 to 45 percent.
Some of the unique features of the Vande Bharat Express are:
• Automatic Doors
• GPS based Audio-Visual Passenger Information System
• Onboard Hotspot Wi-Fi for entertainment.
• Seats that rotate up to 180 degrees
• Facility of side recliners.
• Bio vacuum toilets with touch-free facilities.
• Flood fighting capability increased to 600mm.
Each Vande Bharat Express has a total seating capacity of 1,128 passengers.
The country’s first semi-high speed train is currently running on two routes: New Delhi- Katra and New Delhi-Varanasi. These trains will run across the country soon.
