MP Sanjay Raut To Meet Fadnavis, May Meet Shinde

Mumbai, 11th November 2022: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader, MP Sanjay Raut, who has been in jail for more than three months in connection with the alleged postal redevelopment scam, was granted bail by a special court on Wednesday. Sanjay Raut was arrested when it was only a case of a civil dispute instead of financial misappropriation. The special court clarified that this arrest was illegal.

After that, Sanjay Raut, while interacting with the media on Thursday, praised Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. “The Deputy Chief Minister is leading the state. I will visit him soon. Also, we will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah,” Sanjay Raut said.

Sanjay Raut said, “I will meet the department that has my work. Possibly I am meeting the minister less; so far, I have been to the ministry three times. If there are any questions about the state, I will meet the Chief Minister. Thousands of people marched for the Belgaum border issue, but none from Maharashtra. In the past, the Chief Minister held the portfolio of Belgaum. The current government is illegitimate, but they are in power.”

“We never had any personal grudge against Devendra Fadnavis, we took a political stand. I consider Yashwantrao Chavan, Balasaheb Thackeray and Sharad Pawar as role models. Don’t reach the family by doing politics with personal hatred. We have maintained the position that no one should be ruined and sent to jail forever,” he said.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. He will also meet Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Fadnavis made some good decisions. Also, there are issues with some of the prison staff and inmates in the prison. So what kind of democracy is this if we cannot meet the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister as people’s representatives?” asked Sanjay Raut.
