MLAs From Rebel Shiv Sena Frustrated By Eknath Shinde’s Cabinet Expansion; High Chance Of Splitting Of Shinde’s Group

Mumbai, 3rd September 2022: The Eknath Shinde group established power by rebelling from the Shiv Sena and aligning with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). However, not all MLAs from the Shinde group have gotten justice yet.

Therefore, there is a possibility that the Shinde group, which rebelled from the Shiv Sena, will be defeated. The displeasure and frustration of the MLAs from the Shinde group are being revealed. Therefore, it is predicted that there will be a drama of resentment in the Shinde group.

It is said that due to the displeasure of the rebel MLAs, the cabinet cannot be expanded again. Most of the rebels want a ministerial position in the Shinde government. That is why Eknath Shinde is in trouble.

Currently, there is a conflict between the Shiv Sena and the Shinde group. The dispute is pending before the Supreme Court and the Election Commission. In such a situation, there is talk that some MLAs may go with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena if they do not get ministerial posts. It is being discussed that it will be difficult for Shinde to remove everyone’s displeasure.

If some MLAs from the Shinde group split, there is a possibility that the Eknath Shinde group will face the threat of anti-defection law. When Shinde rebelled against the Shiv Sena and formed the government, he had the support of 40 MLAs. Shiv Sena has a total of 54 MLAs. In such a situation, at least 37 MLAs need to stay with Shinde to avoid the anti-defection law and till the dispute is resolved. Therefore, if 4 of the rebel MLAs secede, the number is reduced to 36, and there is a fear that the anti-defection law will be enforced. As Eknath Shinde has this problem, it is said that he is trying hard to convince the MLAs.

Currently, this dispute is pending in the Supreme Court. Apart from this, the petition of both parties is also pending before the Election Commission. But in such a case, if the cabinet is expanded and the leader who did not get a ministerial post goes to Thackeray, the air of the rebels’ claim on the Shiv Sena will disappear.

In the first cabinet expansion, only 9 out of 40 MLAs from the Eknath Shinde group have become ministers. In such a situation, the question arises what did they gain by rebelling against the Shiv Sena? MLAs are in danger due to rebellion with Shiv Sena, not even got a ministerial post. Therefore, now the rebel MLAs are thinking about what exactly they received by rebelling.

Eknath Shinde can now make a maximum of 23 MLAs as ministers. However, all 31 MLAs from their group are hoping for ministerial posts. Apart from this, BJP also has to give ministerial posts. How to pacify the MLAs in such a situation is a matter of concern for Eknath Shinde.

BJP is also eyeing the second Cabinet expansion and has more MLAs. In such a situation, they want more ministerial posts. Also, MLAs from small parties are interested in the ministerial post. So this condition is increasing day by day and everyone is paying attention to what will happen in the future.

Due to this, internal disputes in the Shinde group will erupt and it is predicted that there will be a drama of resentment.
