Manipur: CM Biren Singh Announces Aid Of 5 Lakhs To Families Of Students Who Died In Bus Accident In Noney

Imphal, 22nd December 2022: Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh, has announced a sum of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of students who died in a bus accident in Manipur’s Noney district.
CM Singh tweeted, “Went to JNIMS and met the families of the students who passed away in an accident at Old Cachar Road today. I extended my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, and gave assurance that a sum of Rs 5 lakh each from CM’s Relief Fund will be extended to them.”
Singh also went to the hospitals to support the injured students who had been admitted there.
According to a tweet from Singh, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), MLAs, and medical personnel were on the scene of the accident at the Old Cachar Road to assist in the rescue effort.
On Wednesday (December 21), in a bus accident in Manipur’s Noney district, at least seven students died.
There have been reports of twenty other students being injured in the incident.
