Maharashtra: Supreme Court Orders 5-Judge Constitution Bench To Hear Political Power Struggle, Next Hearing On August 25

Mumbai, 23rd August 2022: There was a big rebellion in the Shivsena and as a result Chief Minister Eknath Shinde formed a separate group to get into an alliance with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

 

 

Finally, the matter was heard in the Supreme Court. At this time, the matter of power struggle in the state has been entrusted to the constitution bench of 5 judges. The next hearing will be held on Thursday (August 25).

 

The hearing in the Supreme Court on the dispute between Shiv Sena and Shinde group was postponed last month. But, today, Shiv Sena requested the Chief Justice about this hence the hearing was held.

 

The hearing was held before the bench of Chief Justice N.V. Ramanna. This time the judge has heard the side of Shiv Sena. The matter has now been referred to a 5-judge constitution bench. The next hearing will also be held on Thursday. Also, the court has been adjourned until the Central Election Commission elections on a symbol issue.
