Maharashtra: Another Rebel Possibility As 12 MPs of Shiv Sena Get Y Category Security, May Join Shinde Faction
Mumbai, 19th July 2022: 12 MPs of Shiv Sena have been given Y category security amid the ongoing tussle. These 12 MPs had written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla urging him to recognize Rahul Shewale as a leader. There are speculations that 12 out of 18 Shiv Sena MPs are in contact with the Shinde faction.
All these MPs can separate from Uddhav Thackeray and form their own faction. There were also speculations that all these MPs may announce their support for Eknath Shinde. 12 out of 19 Shiv Sena MPs virtually attended the meeting called by Shinde Shiv Sena faction on Monday as well.
On the contrary, the Uddhav Thackeray faction on Monday evening submitted an application to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, saying that Vinayak Raut has been duly appointed as the leader of the parliamentary party. The party has urged him not to consider any representation of the faction that broke away from the party.
Shiv Sena Parliamentary Party leader Raut has submitted a letter to the Speaker, in which it has also been clarified that Rajan Vichare has been made the Chief Whip.
It is being said that these 12 MPs of Shiv Sena have been provided Y category security by the Union Home Ministry. Like Mumbai, security will be provided in Delhi as well. For now, all eyes are on the proceedings of the Lok Sabha which are to be held on Tuesday. It is a matter of time to know whether the Lok Sabha speaker will take any major decision regarding the matter.
