Kangana Ranaut Meets BJP Chief JP Nadda, Declared Mandi Lok Sabha Candidate

New Delhi, 27th March 2024: Actor Kangana Ranaut recently met with BJP national president JP Nadda, and she shared a post about the encounter on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday evening. In the accompanying photo, Kangana can be seen wearing a pink saree and jewellery, standing beside the BJP leader with a bouquet in hand, sporting a smile. In her post, Kangana expressed gratitude towards Nadda for his guidance and support, pledging her commitment to work diligently for the progress and prosperity of her area, Mandi, with a patriotic sign-off, “Jai Hind” accompanied by a national flag emoji.

Additionally, Kangana has been declared as the BJP’s candidate for the Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh. She shared her excitement about this development on Instagram, affirming her unwavering support for the BJP and expressing readiness to serve as a reliable public servant and dedicated party worker.

The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be conducted in seven phases, spanning from April 19 to June 1, with the counting of votes set for June 4.

In a separate development, the BJP has also nominated veteran actor Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, as a candidate from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut constituency.

On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut has a slew of upcoming projects. She is set to star in the period drama film “Emergency,” which marks her directorial debut. Scheduled for release on June 14, the film features Kangana in the lead role of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Additionally, Kangana will reunite with actor R Madhavan for a psychological thriller film helmed by director Vijay, slated for release in both Hindi and Tamil languages.
