Corporator To MLA: Laxman Jagtap’s Journey In Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 3rd January 2023: Chinchwad MLA Laxman Jagtap, former mayor of Pimpri-Chinchwad, passed away today. Jagtap was a corporator in the municipal corporation for 20 years. He was also City Mayor, Standing Committee Chairman, and once Legislative Council. He served three consecutive terms as an MLA in the Vidhan Sabha.

His political career was from corporator to MLA at a very young age. He held the post of corporator, standing committee chairman, and mayor of the city. He also got elected to the Legislative Assembly as an MLA. He made a significant contribution to the development of Pimpri-Chinchwad city. Jagtap was well-known for his role as a leader who advocated for the people.

He had been ill for several days. It seemed that he would overcome that disease. However, he has been admitted to the hospital once more over the past few days. Pimpri-Chinchwadkars will remember the work he did and his association. His departure has caused a great loss to the city.

The work done by him in the political and social fields will be remembered forever. He contributed greatly to the improvement of Pimpri-Chinchwad city. Pimpri-Chinchwad city has lost a visionary leader, an irreparable loss to the political, social and cultural sphere of the city.
