Bihar Bandh Violence: Constable Suspended After Alleged AK-47 Firing in Siwan

Bihar, 27th July 2026: A Bihar Police constable has been suspended after allegedly firing rounds from an AK-47 rifle during violence that broke out in Siwan amid the statewide Bihar Bandh on Saturday. The incident, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, prompted immediate departmental action.

According to officials, the constable was deployed as part of the security arrangements during the bandh when clashes erupted between protesters and the police.
