Amit Shah’s Elder Sister, Rajeshwari Pradip Shah, Passes Away in Mumbai
Mumbai, 15th January 2024: Rajeshwari Pradip Shah, the elder sister of Minister of Home Affairs of India Amit Shah, has passed away at the age of 65 in Mumbai. The unfortunate incident occurred while Amit Shah was in Ahmedabad, participating in various events and celebrating Makar Sankranti.
Rajeshwariben had been undergoing medical treatment, including a recent lung transplant at an Ahmedabad Hospital, before being shifted to a private hospital in Mumbai. Her health condition had been a cause for concern, leading to visits from Amit Shah and other dignitaries.
Home Minister Amit Shah has cancelled all his public engagements following the demise of his sister. He had visited her last week at the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in south Mumbai, where Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and industrialist Mukesh Ambani also paid their respects.
Amit Shah is expected to participate in the funeral proceedings of Rajeshwariben in a suburban area of Ahmedabad. Specific details of the funeral are not yet available.
