Is Your Modi Wave Starting To Subside? Shiv Sena’s Attack On BJP’s ‘Dream of Balasaheb’

Mumbai, 23rd August 2022: Shiv Sena said in its mouthpiece Saamana, ‘’The question for the BJP, who wants to get votes by taking the name of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb, is whether the Modi era is going to end? As the Modi wave is starting to subside.’’

Shiv Sena has attacked the BJP on Devendra Fadnavis’s statement that Balasaheb’s dream will be fulfilled. Shiv Sena said in its mouthpiece Saamana that the question with BJP, who wants to get votes by taking the name of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb, is whether the Modi era is going to end, as the Modi wave is starting to subside. Shiv Sena accused BJP of breaking Maratha unity. Shiv Sena has fiercely targeted Devendra Fadnavis for breaking Shiv Sena and has stated that they are now seeking votes in the name of Balasaheb.

The Shiv Sena asked in an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana on Tuesday saying, ‘’Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ claim of working to fulfil the ‘dream’ of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray is a ploy to break Marathi unity in Mumbai. The reason behind this is the upcoming civic elections. “Why are you asking for votes in the name of Balasaheb? Is your Modi era, Modi wave starting to decline.’’

Shiv Sena’s attack:

In June this year, Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde and 39 other MLAs revolted against the party leadership, leading to the fall of the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government. After this, Shinde took oath as the Chief Minister on June 30 with BJP leader Fadnavis as Deputy Chief Minister. The editorial said ‘’Leaders like BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis are now embracing the “dream of Balasaheb”, but are not remembering the late Shiv Sena supremo when he broke ties with the party in 2014. He did not remember Balasaheb’s dreams on his way back.’’ According to a source, “Fadnavis’s words are a deceitful invitation to the fox and the people of Mumbai and Thane should remain vigilant.” Shiv Sena has claimed that the language of ‘Dream of Balasaheb’ used by BJP is nothing but a ploy to break Marathi unity

in Mumbai and for this they are trying to hurt Shiv Sena.

The editorial claimed that Vajpayee is no more BJP:

When asked whether the party of Vajpayee and Advani really exists, “Vajpayee’s BJP was meant to keep the promise but is not now and so we left such BJP (alliance) and went on a different path of Hindutva,” it said. Said in Saamana, “Our political stand is still the same. We are Hindutvawadis, but we are not slaves of BJP. We are honest servants of Maharashtra, not ‘charandas’ of Delhi. “Municipal elections and we (BJP) will fulfil Balasaheb’s dreams. What is this hoax? Which dream of Balasaheb are you going to fulfil?”

Attacking the BJP and Eknath Shinde in Shinde’s infamous company Saamana, Shiv Sena in Saamana said, “Your dream of creating division in Shiv Sena, was it Balasaheb’s dream? Fadnavis was “intelligent and thorough”, but that position is now with Eknath. Shinde is infamous in the company of the faction. He (Fadnavis) does not speak on the issue of the state, only on Shiv Sena.” Threatening messages were received that they will launch 26/11-like attack.
