Ghulam Nabi Azad Announces New Party Called ‘Democratic Azad Party’; Unveils The Flag Too

Srinagar, 26th September 2022: Ghulam Nabi Azad has formed a new party today named, ‘Democratic Azad Party’. Azad had resigned from the Congress on 26 August. After this he had said that soon he would announce the name of the new party. He had also said that his party’s ideology would be independent.

Ghulam Nabi Azad reached Srinagar on Sunday. He will be visiting Delhi soon.

Ghulam Nabi had said that only secular people can join his party. He had also sought suggestions from the public regarding the name of the party. Even during his visit to Srinagar, he discussed the name of the party with the supporters and after that announced the new party by holding a press conference.

Ghulam Nabi Azad has also unveiled the flag of his party. He said that the yellow color of the flag signifies creativity, unity and diversity. While the white color represents peace and blue color represents freedom, open thought, imagination and from the depths of the ocean to the heights of the sky.

Azad said, “People had suggested names in Urdu, Sanskrit, Hindi. However, we wanted a name that had all three things Democratic, Peace and Independent.”
