Reportedly, the cabinet expansion in the state was discussed during the meeting. Shinde, however, is calling it a courtesy call. Apart from this, he also met IPS officer Rashmi Shukla.
After the meeting held on Thursday evening, speculations are rife that the two leaders have discussed a possible cabinet expansion. Reportedly, CM Shinde has also invited Shah to the Dussehra rally on 5th October. Shinde Camp, which is expressing its desire to rally at Shivaji Park, has got permission for the rally at Bandra Kurla Complex of MMRDA.
Media reports quoted sources saying that the two leaders also discussed the ongoing dispute over Shiv Sena factions in the Supreme Court. Here, Shinde said through a tweet, ‘During the Delhi visit, a courtesy meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah was held. During this visit, many issues, including the development in the state, were discussed in detail.’
On Thursday, Shinde also met IPS officer Shukla. Presently, he is posted as ADG of CRPF in Hyderabad. After this meeting, discussions have increased regarding his return to Mumbai. Notably, there are many FIRs registered in Mumbai against him for alleged phone tapping and leaking of documents.
The long-standing tension over the Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park seemed to be coming to an end on Friday.
