Mumbai: Sanjay Raut Accuses Eknath Shinde of Voter Bribery in Kolhapur, Sparks Controversy
Mumbai, 8th May 2024: Recently, accusations of voter bribery have surfaced involving various political parties in Maharashtra. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Ajit Pawar, is alleged to have engaged in voter bribery in Baramati, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is accused of similar actions in Satara. Now, allegations have emerged against the Shiv Sena), with MP Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena (UBT) claiming that Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, himself was seen distributing money in Kolhapur.
According to Raut, CM Shinde distributed Rs 100 Crores to voters in Satara to defeat the Mahavikas Aghadi candidate, Shahu Chhatrapati. These allegations have sparked controversy and raised concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.
MP Sanjay Raut made strong allegations, stating, “The fake Shiv Sena is indulging in distributing money. They are resorting to bribery to win with a stolen party. Playing dirty games, they aim to defeat our Shahu Maharaj from Kolhapur. The honorary members of this ‘fake Shiv Sena’ are hoarding Rs 100 crore in a Kolhapur hotel to undermine the descendants of our great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. They are bribing voters to defeat the descendants of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, whom we deeply respect. What else do they have apart from money?”
Raut further expressed, “The imposter CM is nothing without ill-gotten gains. He has acquired everything through theft – a stolen party, a stolen symbol of the bow and arrow. While he may lack funds to pay salaries to employees in the Thane Municipal Corporation, he has enough money to bribe voters. He has bought off all his MLAs with Rs 50 crore and MPs with Rs 100 crores. I have one message for our candidate in Thane, Rajan Vichare: these people may have been lured by money, but your loyalty and dedication will earn you the people’s votes. Don’t worry too much, Rajan, even if you simply sit in the Shiv Sena office, the people of Thane will support you.”
Raut continued, “The citizens of Thane will make Eknath Shinde run away and will send PM Modi’s parcel to the Himalayas after the Lok Sabha election results are declared on 4th June. That’s why I believe that the passports of PM Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah should be confiscated immediately. They have committed numerous crimes and have looted our country. They have plundered our nation more than the British ever did.”
