This is what PM Modi said on Elon Musk and Tesla: Anyone can invest…

New Delhi, 15th April 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed global investment coming to India. However, he believes that the manufacturing process should have the scent of the Indian soil and should be beneficial to the country’s citizens. In an interview given to the news agency ANI, PM Modi said that anyone can invest in India but the production should be done by Indians. He also answered questions related to Elon Musk’s Tesla and Starlink coming to India. Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, has openly stated on stage that he is a fan of PM Modi. Recalling an incident from 2015, PM Modi responded to this by saying that during his visit to Tesla’s factory in the USA, Musk had canceled a pre-scheduled meeting to show him the entire factory. PM Modi further explained that he understood Musk’s vision during this visit. He met Musk again in 2023 and now Musk is coming to India. This month, Elon Musk will visit India to meet Prime Minister Modi. Musk shared this information on the social media platform X (Twitter). There are speculations that during this visit, Musk might make a big announcement regarding investment in India. However, no official information has been revealed about the agenda of Musk’s visit to India.

Elon Musk has been quite enthusiastic about Tesla’s entry into India from the beginning. He has expressed his desire about this from time to time. Recently, in an interview, he mentioned that based on the population, India is now the most populous country in the world. He believes that India should also have electric cars, just like every other country. It’s natural for Tesla’s electric vehicles to be available in India.

In an interview with ANI, PM Modi said that India is rapidly advancing in the electric vehicle sector. Companies should invest here. Referring to EV cells in this interview, PM Modi said that in 2014-15, only 2,000 EVs were sold, which increased to 12 lakh by 2023-24. This means that a large number of charging stations are being set up in the country. This indicates that the country is rapidly advancing in terms of EVs.

“I want investment to come to India, it doesn’t matter who is investing the money. However, it should be the hard work of my country’s people. The fragrance of the product should be of our country and it should provide employment opportunities to our youth.”
