South Indian Actress Gautami Tadimalla Resigns from BJP Citing ‘Unimaginable Crisis’

Tamil Nadu, 23rd October 2023: In a surprising turn of events today, veteran South Indian actress Gautami Tadimalla, known for her roles in films across multiple languages like Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu, announced her resignation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Tamil Nadu. Tadimalla has been a part of the party for more than two decades.

In her resignation letter, Tadimalla conveyed her sadness and the gravity of her decision, stating, “Today I am standing in a period of unimaginable crisis in my life. I am not receiving any support from the party and its leaders at this time.” She also revealed that those who had “betrayed her trust and life savings” were receiving open support from the party.

Born on July 2, 1969, in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, Gautami Tadimalla gained prominence in the South Indian film industry between 1987 and 1988. She is not only an actress but also a television host and costume designer. She has worked with big names like Rajinikanth in films such as Dharma Dorai and has also dabbled in Hindi cinema with films like Naqab and Pyaar Hua Chori Chori.

Gautami was married to businessman Sandeep Bhatia in 1998 and has a daughter named Subbulakshmi. She was also reportedly in a relationship with fellow actor Kamal Haasan from 2004 to 2016.
