Rajasthan: Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Succumbs to Daylight Attack in Jaipur

Jaipur, 5th December 2023: Today, in broad daylight in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, three miscreants shot Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi with bullets and then fled the spot. Immediately, Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Ajit Singh, the guard present during the incident alongside Gogamedi, was also shot. Ajit is seriously injured and is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Jaipur. However, one of the attackers was killed in the crossfire with the guards. Gangster Rohit Godara has claimed responsibility for the murder.

Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, a respected leader among the Rajputs in Rajasthan, was a favorite among the youth. He had a long association with Rashtriya Karni Sena and later formed his own organization, Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, following disputes within Karni Sena. He served as the president of this organization.

Gogamedi had contested elections twice from BSP and, in 2018, sought a ticket from BJP, which was not granted. It’s noteworthy that in 2017, during the shooting of the film Padmavati in Jaigarh, Gogamedi vehemently opposed the film. Rajput Karni Sena members, led by Gogamedi, protested against the film, resulting in the vandalism of the set and an attack on filmmaker Bhansali. The film’s name was eventually changed to Padmavat.

Furthermore, Gogamedi gained prominence during the demonstrations in Rajasthan following the gangster Anandpal encounter case in 2017.
