Railway News: Gwalior–Bengaluru Weekly Express via Nagpur Inaugurated

New Delhi/Gwalior, 27 June 2025: Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated the new Gwalior–Bengaluru Weekly Express via video conferencing from Rail Bhavan. The train is expected to provide direct connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and Bengaluru, benefiting passengers from key cities including Gwalior, Guna, Bhopal, and surrounding areas.

Train number 11086 Gwalior–Bengaluru Express will depart from Gwalior every Friday at 15:00 hrs and arrive at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru at 07:35 hrs on Sunday. The return service, train number 11085, will leave Bengaluru every Sunday at 15:50 hrs and reach Gwalior on Tuesday at 10:25 hrs.

The express train will run via Nagpur and halt at the following stations: Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Bina, Bhopal, Betul, Nagpur, Sevagram, Chandrapur, Ballarshah, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Kazipet, Kacheguda, Mahbubnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Hindupur, and Yelahanka.

The train will consist of 22 modern LHB coaches, including four second sitting, four third AC, three third AC economy, two second AC, and the remaining as sleeper class coaches.

The launch event was attended by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister of Communications, the Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, senior railway officials, and local dignitaries. Citizens across Madhya Pradesh joined the ceremony through video conferencing.
