Pune: Shivtare Demands Mahindra Group’s Rs 10,000 Crores EV Project In Purandar, Bhor Or Daund Taluka
Pune, 27th December 2022: Former state minister Vijay Shivtare is batting for the famous vehicle manufacturing company ‘Mahindra’. After meeting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Industries Minister Uday Samant, Shivtare has pushed to pull this project in the southern part of the Pune district.
Shivtare said that Mahindra Group had sought approval from the Maharashtra government under the Industrial Promotion Scheme.
“The government has approved this project, and I am trying to make this project happen in the MIDC area of Purandar, Bhor, or Daund constituencies. If it happens in any of these talukas, it will benefit the talukas like Purandar, Haveli, Bhor, Velha, Daund, Indapur, and Baramati,” he added further.
Shivtare said, “Mahindra will invest nearly Rs 10,000 crores for this project. The electric vehicle industry has been booming for the past few days. People are now switching to electric vehicles after ditching the traditional sources of energy, like petrol, diesel, and CNG.”
“Against this background, this industry has a good future. Thousands of jobs will be created through this project. Many industrial estates such as Chakan, Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Talwade, Pimpri, and Bhosari have come up near Pune. Compared to that, there is no project in the southern part of the Pune district that provides great employment opportunities. So I am trying to make this project happen,” he informed further.
Projects like Purandar International Airport, Alandi-Pandharpur National Highway, and National Bazaar are planned in the southern part of Pune. Out of these, the National Highway work has started, while the airport notification will be out soon.
“The area for the national market has been calculated and demarcated. Due to these projects, the infrastructure facilities required by Mahindra Company will be available here. Therefore, I demand that Mahindra’s project should be done in any of these three talukas. Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Industry Minister have all responded positively to this demand, and I will follow up on it in the future as well,” said Shivtare.
Mahindra Project Features:
1. Investment of Rs 10,000 crore
2. Hundreds of acres of land are required for the project
3. Thousands of youth will get employment
4. There will be revolutionary research and progress in the field of electric vehicle manufacturing
5. Shivtare’s initiative for EV hubs in the southern region of Pune district
