The Congress alleges that there has been a breach in the security of Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi. The Congress has accused the Delhi Police of negligence. A letter has also been written to Home Minister Amit Shah to increase Rahul Gandhi’s security.

Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal has written a letter to Amit Shah. In this letter, he said that during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi on 24th December, the security has been negligent in many places. It is written in the letter that the Delhi Police completely failed to handle the crowd and provide security to Rahul Gandhi. Congress workers and yatris had to walk in a cordon with Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi has got Z plus security.

The Congress alleged that IB men are interrogating them to harass those attending the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Not only this, people are being prevented from participating in the yatra. They are being harassed by the agencies. Many personalities are also not allowed to join the yatra.

KC Venugopal said that earlier in Haryana’s Sohna too, on 23rd December, there was negligence in the security of Rahul Gandhi. The people of Haryana’s State Intelligence forcefully entered the yatra. “We have registered a case regarding this,” he wrote. He alleged that some people had even entered the travel container.

Venugopal has written that under Article 19, anyone has the freedom to move anywhere in the country. “Bharat Jodo Yatra is being taken out for peace and harmony in the country. The central government should not do politics in this. The government should ensure the security of Congress leaders,” he wrote.
