Pune: MP Supriya Sule Demands Meetings Of Organizations To Curb Accidents On Navale Bridge

Pune, 28th December 2022: Accidents continue to occur at the Navale Bridge area on the Pune Highway. More than one organization, including the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co (MSEB), Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL), and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), are involved in this road.

Today, MP Supriya Sule demanded that all these organizations meet and find a solution to this issue immediately. She said that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should immediately call a meeting of these organizations together.

After the terrible accident last month, MP Sule immediately visited the place and inspected and inquired about the injured. After that, she raised a question about this in the session of Parliament. After coming to Pune from Delhi, she once again visited the Navale Bridge area and inspected it today. At that time, she was talking to reporters. She said, “About this bridge, a joint meeting of NHAI, Municipal Corporation, and MSEDCL will be held soon. In this meeting, the technical problems will be discussed. Our focus is to make this area accident-free forever. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is also cooperating with this, and we thank him for this.”

There was a major accident on this bridge last month. At that time, MP Sule immediately visited the incident site and brought this matter to the attention of Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and the Chief Minister of the state Eknath Shinde and demanded immediate measures. Not only this, there have been many accidents in the area in the past, and MP Sule is constantly raising this issue. Many times in Parliament, she asked about this and demanded that necessary measures should be taken to prevent accidents from happening.
