Pune: Kasba Peth, Chinchwad MLAs To Be Elected By Eight Lakh Voters

Pune, 19th January 2023: The by-elections of Kasba Peth and Chinchwad assembly constituencies have been announced. Eight lakh voters will decide the new MLAs of both constituencies.

The district election branch released the final voter list of 21 assembly constituencies including Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and rural areas on 5th January. The same list will be used for the by-elections of these two constituencies. Accordingly, there are 2,75,428 voters in the Kasba Peth constituency and 5,66,415 voters in Chinchwad.

There were 2,74,377 voters in the draft voter list in the Kasba Peth constituency. There are currently 2,75,428 voters in this constituency. In the Chinchwad constituency, there were 5,61,988 voters in the draft voter list. These voters have increased by 4,427 and in the final voter list, there are 5,66,415 voters.

Meanwhile, the draft voter list was announced on 9th November last year. After that, special voter registration drives were organized for new voters and underprivileged sections of society. Therefore, voters have increased in the final list after the draft voter list.

According to the recently released voter list, the number of women voters is higher than that of men in the town.
